Turtle Creek

Blue Reef has won international acclaim for its pioneering rescue work with stranded sea turtles.

Turtle Creek offers a rare glimpse into the lives of the marine-going turtles' freshwater cousins.

Among the species on display are bizarre Mata Mata turtles from Brazil, rescued Mud turtles and the endangered Pig-nosed turtle from Australia.

Turtle Rescue - Blue Reef has rescued, rehabilitated and released nine sea turtles. Find out more about marine turtle rescues from our interactive displays and the Blue Reef aquarists themselves.
