Today at Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay

Our newly renovated Amazonian Displays are home to several species of freshwater turtle and Piranha. Come face to face with our Pig-nosed and Mississippi Map turtles and our new Red Belly Piranha and learn all about the amazing lifestyles of these fascinating animals.

Learn about the world of sharks and Tropical coral reefs, one of the planet's most diverse and colourful habitats. Meet many of the beautiful fish that call it home. This is your chance to witness a feeding frenzy as over 1,000 fish are fed before your eyes!

Enjoy close encounters with tentacles & suckers! Meet our amazing Giant Pacific Octopus as it spends some quality time with one of our Aquarists. Watch as they play with a variety of toys and see how they react with different colours and textures.
Watch our juvenile sharks and rays feed in the shallows of the mangroves. Teeming with brightly coloured tropical fish including several species of the bizarre boxfish, learn about the amazing habitat that is the tropical lagoon.

Come face to face with a host of fascinating creatures which are able to survive in this harsh and ever-changing environment. Among the creatures you'll encounter are starfish, crabs and shark eggs.

Enjoy close encounters with tentacles & suckers! Watch our amazing Giant Pacific Octopus feed and play then follow our aquarist to the cuttlefish tank and watch these amazing predators have their daily meal.

It's dinner time again for the 3,000 tropical reef fish and another opportunity to enjoy their spectacular feeding habits. There's also a chance to learn about the ocean's most feared predators - the sharks - and watch them feed (every other day).You can also learn about the truth behind shark attacks.
